Stevie Wonder

Stevie WonderStevland Hardaway Morris (ne Judkins; May 13 1950), known professionally as Stevie Wonder, is an American singer-songwriter. He is considered to be a pioneer and influence by musicians across a range of genres such as blues and rhythm, pop and soul, gospel, jazz, and funk. Wonder, who was a solo artist made use of synthesizers to produce electronic music in the 1970s. It revolutionized the R&B genre. Wonder helped bring these genres into the album age by making albums that were both coherent and uniform. Wonder, who was born blind began his Motown label career at the age of 11. Tamla label at the age of 11. He was then given the stage name Little Stevie Wonder. Wonder's famed critical success was at its highest during the 1970s. His "classic" period began in 1972 with Music of My Mind and Talking Book. The latter featured "Superstition" which is the most well-known and famous example of the Hohner Clavinet keyboard sound. He was awarded the Grammy Award as Album of the year for Innervisions (1973), Fulfillingnessthe First Finale (1974) and Songs in the Key of Life ( 1976). This is the record holder of the most Album of the year awards with three. Wonder is the only artist to win the award three times in succession with consecutive album releases. Wonder was considered a "commercial artist" before he started to have his greatest hits in the 1980s. His popularity grew with the increase in album sales, charitable involvement and significant collaborations.
